My daughter test drove a car at the South Houston location. She mentioned after the test drive that it felt like the car was pulling to one side.
The salesman assured her that it was most likely a simple alignment issue. He stated that she could bring the car back this week and that they would have the alignment done. We brought the car to where the salesperson instructed us, but Enterprise never authorized the service. We were back and forth several times, and now it is over a month later.
This type of lying and false promises is unfortunate and not becoming of the name Enterprise has worked hard to build! Do not trust any promises from them.

Verified Reviewer |Unfathomable and frustrated customer
I am emailing you to inform you of stressful, frustrating and unfathomable experience buying a car thru Enterprise Car Sales. I will leave a couple of facts out because I want this email to be heard without bleeding your eyes from staring at the screen.
So when finished, if you have any questions, please contact me. Everything has been documented so I will be able to answer any inquiries you have to the best of my knowledge.
On August 19, 2024. around 9pm, I signed a contract purchasing a 2020 Jeep Cherokee Latitude with my trade in and cash as a down payment along with the extended warranty offered. Before signing, I turned the car on and noticed a weird sound.
I informed the sales rep and was told that sound is normal. I proceeded to drive off the lot and into the street to put gas in the because there was a quarter tank of gas and before even getting the car fully off the lot, I called the rep back and said this sound cant possibly be normal , I dont like it. She instructed me to call the next day to schedule someone from their parter Meineke to take a look at it. I am a temp at my employment and do not get paid for time not worked.
I said ok.
I took it to Meineke and they reported to ECS (enterprise). I called and was told nothing was heard. I drove it because I thought maybe I was hearing things. I realized I wasnt after having a family member listen.
I took it back. The same result was told to me along with thats the sound this model makes, its the engine Im hearing. I was given a document to support that. I found an exact model at a different dealership and took that car for a test drive, and I did not.
I called ECS again and they said I can bring it in or take it to a Jeep Dealership, but the communication was already established here so I opted to go with Meineke. I explained again and finally they said they heard a sound.
A drop off day was scheduled. I took off work (again no pay) only to get there and be told the manager who set up everything was out for weeks on medical leave and no one knew why I was there and didnt know what to do with my car. I made the decision to call and reschedule when she returned.
I call to schedule and informed the manager the sound was worse. To make an email not a novel long I will tell you in points how this unfolded to a disappointing and frustrating chaos.
I dropped my car off, was given a rental be ESC by grace and told they would pay the fees for it and the diagnosis.
I was informed my car had to be inspected by the warranty company and agree with Meineke diagnosis.
I received another rental and was due to return it on the scheduled date.
I took off work again. Arrived at Meineke at 10am because ECS was to pay for my rental and that was the time they opened. I was told a new engine was needed and later much later, approved.
I was told ECS doesnt have anything to do with the rental and the warranty had to approve it and that would take hours. I called my boss and told her I wouldnt be coming in late that I would not be coming at all. Im stressing and crying cause I need to figure out how I am going to continue to pay my car payment without getting paid from work for a car Im not even driving.I was there until 5pm and not approved for a rental. I told the manager what am I going to do I have no way to get home or go to work, or my son to get to work.
For I am his transportation and whenever I cannot take him, he has to Uber costing me more money I dont have because Im taking off so many days to take care of something that should have been fixed before I even bought the car.
The manager said drive the car to a near buy Enterprise Car Rental and ask them to take you home. I will loan my company car out to you until we figure this out. I say ok.
I beg my coworker to take me to work and home, and my son takes Ubers.
I get a call saying Im approved for a 5 day rental at $50/day at no cost to me.
My co worker takes me on lunch to go pick up the car and Im only approved for a Mirage model. Im 511.
I do not fit in that car safely but this is the only car available without me paying for what I shouldnt be. I upgrade costing me money.
I get the rental and on the 4th day of rental, the manager calls and says your part has arrived. Im told the tech will try to get it in before the end of the week. That doesnt happen.
I return the rental only to be told the tech who puts in parts, dislocated his shoulder and it will take longer.
The manager thankfully provides the loaner van by contract to me and states the engine light it on, but dont worry about that. The ABS light is on but I promise its fine. I say whats that? She states its the brakes.
She tells me theres a quarter tank of gas in the van, all windows work, you have to slam this door and that door cause their jammed and other things. Bring it back how you find it. I get in it, and the air bag light is on as well. Im too annoyed, I say thank you and leave.
(I took pics) it is disgustingly dirty. I immediately clean it. I have been driving it ever since, avoiding putting large amounts of gas in just encase they call and my car is ready.
I was told it would be ready before the end of the week. I call and was told its not that we hope before thanksgiving.
I call and was told it hasnt even been started that the Saturday after thanksgiving is the goal.
During this entire mess, I found out my grandmother moved to Cali and going to see and help her has been my goal. I have gone twice and it was my plan to be there for thanksgiving. She doesnt have help and Im one of two that can help. Im stressed and dealing with this car is making too many days full of tears.
Im angry because I feel if this happened to one of your team member, it would be unacceptable. Ive been patient. I have not raised my voice or even expressed anger in any way. I am seriously struggling and stressing how I am going to pay for these car payments and not driving the car Im paying for.
Why am I going through this? This cant really be ok.
Can you help Mrs. Taylor?

Verified Reviewer |Failure to refund new car sale overpayment
In June 2024, I purchased a vehicle from Enterprise Car Sales in Tampa, FL. My place of residence is SC, so I was an out of state customer to which local FL property taxes and sales taxes do not apply.
At the time of the purchase, I requested, more than once and to more than one person, that these property taxes and sales taxes be waived from the purchase price because I was an out of state customer and local property taxes and sales taxes did not apply to me. I also noted that I could handle all of this by myself back in SC. The selling dealer was adamant that those fees could not be waived and must be included in the final sale price. This was not accurate and I knew it.
I was assured that any unused funds would be refunded. More than 60 days after the purchase of the car, property taxes and sales taxes were still not paid, putting the entire transaction in violation in both FL and SC. Enterprise ultimately had to overnight all transaction documents to me so that I could complete the transaction myself, which I had originally requested to do. There was an excess of $3,000 in fees collected from me for property taxes and sales taxes, which was approximately $2,500 in overpayment.
Six months later and after dozens of attempts to correct the overpayment, I still have not received a full refund, with no explanation. I am now left with no other choice than to file a suit in FL for the refund of the overpayment.
- Poor customer service
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do not buy a car from Enterprise car sales, once the sale is final if you are due a refund, good luck!

Verified ReviewerWas sold a lemon to a recent widow
Talk about taking advantage of a recent widow! I bought a Dodge Caravan that has had nothing but problems.
I put down $10K for a down payment and financed $13K. Not only did they overcharge me for the van, but they sold me a lemon. Two months and three mechanics could not diagnose why my car was stalling at red lights, shuddering, engine revving up when turning off the car, etc. I finally took the car to a mechanic who has computers to test Dodge cars and vans.
It took several days, but finally, the mechanic told me the computers had been recoded to cover flaws in the van. My van stopped working altogether.
I spoke to the area manager, Armando, and asked if they would work with me to buy another van. The area manager stated that computer codes cannot be changed. Really?
He also offered me $1K for my van. I owe $10K on the loan and Kelly Blue Book values the car at only $5K.
This has been a nightmare working with Enterprise Car Sales. I recently relocated to Georgia from Los Angeles, following the untimely death of my husband. We had rented numerous times from Enterprise Rent a Car in Los Angeles, and had great experiences, and I assumed Enterprise Car Sales would be just as reputable.
I was charged $23K for a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan that has stopped working altogether.
Your factory mechanics changed coding on the computers in the car to cover flaws. Not only was I overcharged for the van, but I was also sold a lemon.
Taking advantage of a recent widow. Shame on you.

Preferred solution: Help buying a new car. Reduction in cost of new car due to issues listed in complaint.
User's recommendation: Do not buy from this dealership. They sell lemons and know it. If you do. not buy their warranty you do not have recourse with this company.

Verified ReviewerEnterprise is trying to not take co applicant's license
Enterprise car sales is trying not to take my co-applicant license even though Ive already paid the down payment on the car and Im also already paying insurance. My co-applicant, his license is from Quebec in Canada and it is also in French and it says that enterprise car sales takes Licenses like that.
Also, when our representative, Julian, hooked us up with someone to get insurance, the insurance guy charged us a $50 fee on top of what we were supposed to pay just for a convenience fee for him to do it. We have been dealing with this for about a month and we were supposed to get our car today And they still have not resolved the issue with our co-applicant license . There are also many things that Julian shouldve told us upfront that he did not.
Weve had to figure these things out on our own the past few days. What is there even a car representative for if they cant help you?
User's recommendation: Go somewhere else! Just go to one of the little rinky-dink car places and you’ll drive away with a car that day.

Verified Reviewer |False advertising, false information given.
I applied for a 2018 Nissan Versa with 23,000 miles in Seattle, WA. The car is available for purchase on the Enterprise website.
I applied I was approved and no one calls me regarding the purchase to sign the paperwork etc... I call the Murfreesboro TN location as that is where the car would be transferred. Philip claims it's sold. I call the Seattle location where the car sales rep.
tells me he wanted to buy the car but that someone already put a deposit down on it on March 25th. Well needless to say it is March 27th and the car is still posted as for sale on the website. I call and spoke to Dave at the Seattle, WA location who claims it's just a miscommunication in the system etc etc I explain to him there were multiple cars that I clicked on and they will tell you sale pending. He continues to repeat the same thing.
I finally ask him for corporates numbers and he said it's 1800-rent-a-car he said they will give you the run around but you'll get there! I'm literally talking to the car sales not rentals. Of course I called the number just to make sure and she said you need to call them back and have them escalate it to corporate because of course she couldn't help me as she is in the rental department. I decided to call the Marietta, GA location and ask what's the process if someone puts a deposit down on a car and applied etc and is waiting to pick up the car.
Of course the process is once you put the deposit down the car will say sale pending until you officially sign off on all paperwork than the car will be removed from the website. Seems to make more sense than ol' David's explanation. Needless to say I was approved for that car and they literally will not give it to me. I can't get a corporate phone number this is very frustrating.
Just to finish off David last response to me in a very rude 'I'm so annoyed tone' yup have a good day and click hung up, it was insulting. But obviously it makes him feel powerful in some way.
If he wants power he should control his moods and act with integrity, that's power. I am still interested in the car but I can not get anywhere with them they just keep lying.
- Lied
Preferred solution: I would like to have to have the car I was approved for. But they changed the transfer fee as it was 1200.00 not 2500.00.

Good morning. Who can I speak to about the vehicle I was sold?
The vehicle is full of issues including the engine, which started blinking while I was driving. The car was shaking and stalling. I was told that the manufacturer will take a look at it and will fix the problems. This was the 3rd time it was returned.
I was told there is nothing wrong and it was test driven. You can hear the car clinking and feel it shaking. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I'm a single black female.
I've been lied to and I have had possession of the car for maybe 2 -3 weeks, because I've returned it 3 times. I would like to speak with someone who can help me with this situation, being that my dealership is full of rude, dishonest individuals.

Complaint
Good afternoon,
My name Keith Westbrook , and I purchased my vehicle back in December 2023 from a dealership in Richmond, Va from Marcus McCoy. I had an issue concerning the tires on the vehicle but I was not given any attention to solve my problem.
Now that I went to get a wheel alignment I was told that they could not give me one because I needed new tires. I feel that after 8months of purchasing this vehicle I have to purchase new tires.
I will take this complaint to the Better Business Bureau and anywhere else in Virginia to let everyone know of this incredulous policy of Enterprise. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

Verified Reviewer |Breach of contract
Breach of contract, misrepresentation by dealership. I signed my contract on April 16, 2024.
A week before my first payment was due, I tried to make my first payment. I couldn't. I called the finance company, Westlake, but I couldn't get through to Westlake because I didn't have an account number. I was told I had to put down another deposit and accept a different finance company.
This situation is inconvenient to me and emotionally distressing. I live 130 miles away from where I purchased the vehicle.

Forgrguary of signature
I went to inquire about a vehicle, and a day or so later, I found a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas. I test drove it and told Keke, the finance personnel, that it was nice.
About 10-15 minutes later, I got a call from a hospital saying my son was injured and had been stabbed. I told Keke and Diego, my sales guy, that I had to go. The next day, I was bombarded with calls and Keke sent me a text basically calling me a lead. One of the personnel signed my signature, and I never went back to the location, nor did I make a deposit.
A few days later, on Tuesday the 28th, I was called by American Credit. I told them I had never signed the paperwork and had not made the deposit, and I would show evidence that I had done neither.
The last time I was at the dealer was on Tuesday, May 21st. I left at about 6:15 that night.
- Got financed diego was good
- Keke short temper
Preferred solution: Replacement of certain personal cause they can't not control there mouth and clapping there hands at you and talking to you like one of her kids
User's recommendation: I would not recommend Keke to do ur financing she will sign it for u without permission

Hello Lisa, I did leave a detailed message previously but was told they only deal with the rental side and contact the management at the car dealership. Can you provide a contact or email to someone above him. Manager there is the problem so why should I call him.
