On 12/18/17, I totaled my car by hitting a damn pot hole, insurance rented me a car via Enterprise, but I told the rental guy I can't drive a car without a moonroof as I have panic attacks when I feel trapped. He suggested Enterprise Car Sales.

I told him no way, people beat on those cars. He insisted they do a complete inspection, give great warranties etc. I told him I would give them a chance so on 12/21/17 Iwent into Wayne NJ dealership after emailing back and forth with Matt L. the most INCOMPETENT Salesperson I ever met, as it turned out.

I wanted another Camry & he said he had 2 Camrys I can look at. Turns out there were no Camry's he just used a luring tactic. I do not care about fancy things, for medical reasons it is non-negotiable I have 2 things: A power moonroof & power seats w/lumbar. That's it...TWO things, not TEN, not FIFTEEN..

T-W-O!! When he couldn't produce the Camry's he scrambled to find me a car with the 2 features I needed, I test drove a Juke & it was awful. Since there were no other cars on the lot with what I needed, to get me not to leave, he pulled up Enterprise Sales inventory and told me he found a car, with the 2 things I needed, was a great looking car, higher miles than I wanted, but since it had the 2 features I needed, I believed his story about it being exactly what I was looking for. My sister in law has a Malibu & she loves it and this was a 2016 Malibu LTZ, he told me he checked multiple times to make sure it had the moonroof & power seats & said the only problem was the car was not in NJ, it was in 2 hours away in CT.

My IMMEDIATE statement to him was "Can you arrange for a flatbed to tow it here, ONE WAY & I will pay for it" I did not want additional miles put on to the already high mileage, AND I didn't want anybody driving a car that I was buying. KNowing I needed to be at work at 6 p.m that night, this POS told me he would be the only one driving it, and he was leaving that minute to go to CT to get my car so I said ok. I signed for this car sight unseen, which nobody in their right mind would do, but Enterprise guaranteed me the 7 day return, but nobody wants to go through the process all over again so I planned on keeping the car Matt was going to pick up & remember folks, he told me multiple times he checked and this car has the 2 features I needed. By 6:00 I was late for work, didn't have his cell # & didn't call Enterprise office knowing he wasn't there, he was in the driver's seat of my 2016 Malibu LTZ, with power sunroof, power seating w/lumbar.

Approx. 7:30 p.m. Matt called & before he could say anything I said joking "Oh hello there..how's my car doin''?" He said "Yeah the car is great, BUT it's still not here" I asked what his location was and when he said "It took the driver 4 hours to get to CT, I started shaking!! What driver?

Why are you in the office and not in my car?? Who authorized somebody who I DID NOT give permission to, to be in possession of a car I put a down payment on and signed for? I was very upset. His EXACT response was "Oh my manager decided I could not leave the office, she needed me to make phone calls".

WHY WASN'T I TOLD ABOUT THIS WHEN THE MGR. WOULDN'T LET HIM GO GET THE CAR. DIDN'T I ASK MULTIPLE TIMES IF YOU COULD ARRANGE A FLATBED AT MY EXPENSE TO TRANSPORT MY CAR HERE? IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN 2 HOURS ONE WAY!!

I was appalled. IT WAS MINE & WHY IN GOD'S NAME WOULDN'T I BE ASKED IT WAS OK FOR SOMEBODY ELSE TO DRIVE IT?? I know why...He knew I would say ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! FLATBED IT IN LIKE I ASKED FROM THE BEGINNING.

After 9:30 I got an email from Matt saying "The car is here & ready to go". I told him to keep the car there, I already lost another day's pay since I needed to be at work by 6, and I was not going to stand out in the freezing cold transferring my property from one car to the other that late at night and I was so pissed. I emailed him the next day that enough damage was done, and I was not going to be inconvenienced again, so I wanted the car driven to my house in Totowa from your office and Matt said he will bring it here around 1. Before he said anything, the 1st thing I did was take my "Proud Navy Mom" sticker out of my bag, tearing up telling him I couldn't salvage the other 2 Navy Mom stickers off of my totaled Camry, and he watched me slowly trying to get this wrinkled sticker to stay on the trunk of what I though was going to be my car, already crying that this is the 1st Christmas without my only child, my son, being home, so I was already mentally drained from the night before delivery fiasco, then dealing with my son being gone, and then...then *** HIT THE FAN when Matt uttered the words "I HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING" I honestly thought he was going to say the person that drove the car dented it but to hear the words "I DIDN'T NOTICE UNTIL DRIVING TO YOUR HOUSE THAT THE CAR DOES NOT HAVE A SUNROOF".

Amy when I tell you I saw red, Oh, I saw red. I couldn't believe what I was hearing...WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT DOESN'T HAVE 1 OF THE 2 THINGS I REQUIRED FOR MEDICAL REASONS SO IT WAS YOUR JOB TO MAKE SURE I WAS BEING DELIVERED THE CAR I ORDERED. I FLIPPED out to where my neighbors came outside and there was no calming me down. There is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for this and the more he apologized the more my intelligence was being insulted.

The car arrived over 24 hours ago, was in his possession, he did the inspection inside and out before handing it over, which he did the night before and HE DIDN'T NOTICE IT WAS MISSING A SUNROOF???? HE IS OVER 6' TALL, HE DIDN'T NOTICE NO SUNROOF??? He didn't make a call to the CT lot BEFORE I signed the paperwork to CONFIRM the vehicle was what I requested and was promised it had the features I needed??? ONE PHONE CALL...JUST ONE..what an experience and responsible Salesperson would do...call the damn lot it is coming from, ESPECIALLY if it is in a different STATE, to re-confirm everything BEFORE transporting it!!!

No way did he not know...no way...A sunroof is hard to miss especially when somebody over 6' tall hoovers over the roof the car!!!! Does he think I am stupid?? I was scammed and frauded into signing the papers under false pretenses and false guarantees. He said the inventory screen showed that it had a sunroof, and I asked him to send that screenshot to me, surprise, surprise, he wouldn't.

When I was screaming at him the top of my lungs, knowing this was a mistake NO Salespeson would make and knowing I was deceived into buying this car, he said they would put a sunroof in it and I told him I could not be without the car that long, Enterprise already denied me of earning income Thursday night do to another error, and I wanted re-imbusement of lost wages and he had the nerve to say "we are not going to do that...remember the bank will not give a loan of the car is used for commercial purposes" First, I had no idea the banks had a say in what you did with the car you financed, as long as they got their $ on time each month and Second, was he blackmailing or threatening me that he was going to tell the bank information that I was a Rideshare driver part time? Was he threatening to make me lose the loan if I did not accept the car the way it was??? Enterprise gave me 3 options: Rip up the paperwork & go to another dealer, switch it out with another car they would look for or let them put an after market sun roof it in I WAS NOT going to go through the entire car purchase fiasco again, the 2 cars they gave me a choice of were awful so I let them put a roof in under 2 conditions: they send me the measurements BEFORE any work is done, as there is a console above my head where the moonroof is supposed to be & I would need the car back NO LATER then Friday, snowstorm and all. If they couldn't guarantee those 2 things then no deal.

They guaranteed both, and both THEY FLAT OUT LIED ABOUT. ENTERPRISE LET THE SHOP START THE DRILLING WITHOUT GIVING ME MEASUREMENTS SO I CAN MAKE SURE THE ROOF IS OVER MY HEAD, NOT BEHIND IT & I WAS TOLD ON FRIDAY MORNING, IT WOULD NOT BE DONE UNTIL MONDAY, ON MONDAY WAS NOT TOLD IT WOULD BE DONE UNTIL TUESDAY. I LOST ALMOST $2k INCOME, LOST THE CHANCE TO DRIVE TO FLORIDA & GO SEE MY SON IN THE NAVY SINCE MY HEALTH IS DECLINING & HE IS BEING SHIPPED OUT. IT IS A TOTAL FIASCO & TODAY IS TUESDAY.

I TOLD THEM I WANT A PICTURE OF THE COMPLETED SUNROOF AND THE 5 MECHANICAL PROBLEMS THAT WERE WRONG WITH THE CAR, I WANT FIXED. IT IS NOW 6:52 P.M. ON TUESDAY, AND NO WORD!! PEOPLE....NEVER EVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM ENTERPRISE.

EVERYBODY IS RIGHT WHEN THEY SAY THOSE CAR ARE "BEAT ON" AND ARE *** CARS....THEY ARE...THE SALES STAFF DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE *** THEY ARE DOING AND NOW I DO NOT KNOW WHAT MY OPTIONS ARE..I TOLD THEM IF THE ROOF IS NOT INSTALLED TO CHEVY SPECS I DO NOT WANT IT... THE LOAN IS ALREADY ON MY CREDIT REPORT SO I CANNOT GO TO ANOTHER DEALER..

I WANT CORPORATE TO GET INVOLVED BUT CANNOT SEEM TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM... I GOT SO SWINDLED...OH AND I PAID $15k FOR A CAR THAT IS AT CHEVY DEALERS WITH 8 "BELLS & WHISTLES" THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE, AND THE DEALERS HAVE IT FOR $12,100!!

Enterprise Car Sales Cons: No accountability, Untrained sales staff, Unprofessional office atmosphere, Bait and switch victim, Immoral sales tactics.

Thanks for this, I was very interested in purchasing 2 vehicles for my kids from Enterprise. I have read your review, and many others, and I will forget about even calling them now.

This is awful...

People should realize, what you do will Always come back to you, being dishonest as a job must really suck!! Shame on you Enterprise !!

Hi Carol. I will email you but the situation has gotten worse.

I went to pick up the car today with the after market moonroof installed & I have pictures of the awful quality of the work, they ruined the cloth inside my car with grease fingerprints and skid marks of the gears, there is some sort of water damage around the entire unit inside the car as if fluid seeped through the cloth & I am so overwhelmed with this. Thank you for replying to me as nobody seems to care about what I have been a victim of.
